His eyes looked pretty smug before the verdict, and pretty shocked when it was read

They obviously coached him to "take notes" because that's a tactic salesmen are also taught to make it look like they are involved and paying attention, but he didn't sell it; he just looked more interested in the notepad than the proceedings. While he was killing GF his attitude was very "you're not the boss of me, I'll do whatever I damn well want" as people were telling him he needed to let the guy up. I suspect the attorneys warned him it might not go well, especially with such a quick verdict, but it's always gone for him in the past and he is astonished and pissed off that this time it didn't. I suspect he was imagining the vengeance he wishes upon the jurors for daring to convict him.

I remember a bit Richard Pryor did saying yep there was Justice for black folks only it meant “Just Us”.

Chauvin flat out murdered Floyd thankfully he is being held accountable.

(haven't watched the the trial, just radio updates)

...didn't recognize Chauvin when I saw the short reply shown on another DU thread because he was so
quiet looking vs his malicious, brazen look
while muderung Mr Floyd.
