I predict Rmoney will be declared the "winner" of the next debate.

The Town Hall is a terrible format to call Romney out on his falsehoods. He will grin and lie and lie and lie some more and there's nothing the president can do about it without looking negative in front of those "regular folks".

So, I wouldn't be surprised to see that with Romney, too.

...that there's no way Obama can win. In fact, if it even finishes in a draw, that ought to be a crushing blow that will basically doom Romney's campaign.

These Romney will win threads are funny.

Romney, by the time he is finished, will have the 47% rushing to the polls to push that electronic button just for Mitt. He will be so inspiring those lazy bastards will get off their asses, get in their welfare Cadillacs and vote like the world was gonna end if Romney didn't get to rule the free-world.

I see the writing on the wall. All hail Her Mitt!

I thinnk Town Hall questions have the flaw of possibly being dull. I hope those "undecideds" are at least educated ones.

To a degree that even MSM will tip their hats to. This is my guess. Obama is treating this like a debate, with prep all weekend. Romney is at public events in states like Ohio where early voting shows a lack of favorability for him. He's gonna walk in there with a goose egg - he's not preparing b/c he's overconfident. Do you think the lack of prep was his staff's idea? I think not. Pride comes before the fall.

My peek into the future.

... Debates can be tricky. You're talking to audience members and not your opponent. However, there will be plenty of time to argue or correct the Rombey lies.

I anticipate that Romney will be as sweet as pie. He will expect Obama to come out swinging and he will deny Obama the opportunity to be aggressive by playing Mr Nicey nice.

I'm sure Obama has planned for Romney's games and will counter.

I do believe that Obama will kick major butt, and I think the format favors Obama. Romney doesn't like to be questioned by the commoners.

Obama should be able to win this debate because it's interacting with people and mittens's campaign has purposely tried to keep him away from regular people because he was so gaffe prone. You can't fake the human touch and Obama has been good with that all his term.

He did well in his town hall debate with McCain in 2008. There is less talking back and forth and more answering a question. Less about "zingers" and more about relating to people and discussing their issues. Bill Clinton was the master at the town hall debate but Obama did well with it in '08 too.
The 15 minute block free debate format was terrible and had no flow. I doubt it will be used again in Presidential elections, this was the first time.
