(42,862 posts)It's definitely noisy... even the small hail. I can't remember the last time we had hail in Maryland that was larger than a pea.

(11,613 posts)...put on his bicycle helmet and go out in his driveway to catch hail in buckets then use it to make margaritas. He said they were extra delicious with hail ice because of all the ozone that got released due to the perpetual refreezing of hail balls in the ozone layer. Don't ask me why he didn't just set the damn bucket out there then go get it after the storm I guess he thought it made a better story if he was wearing a stupid bicycle helmet...

(16,838 posts)I guess it finally worked its way east. It was a loud storm, not only the hail but also the thunder and wind. Sounded a lot like a hurricane. We have these storms occasionally during the spring, when the cool air and the hot air collide. Before too long there will only be hot air and the weather will stabilize.
