Just saw pundits on tv talking about his "service to the country" as "Prince". Sheesh, live a life of luxury thanks to the taxpayers and a legacy of oppression that produced great wealth and privilege and all you have to do is show up at some ribbon cuttings. Yeah he really sacrificed. Now we have to listen to all the tributes and more fawning over "royalty". When are people ever going to get over this worship of an outdated oppressive system that exploited people around the world for the benefit of a few.

Much of the story especially in the earlier years was told from his point of view. That he was the “voice of reason” in the Royal Family and kept the Queen well grounded, plus (on TV at least) they genuinely loved each other.
