Senate Republicans voice opposition to Biden on Iran

A number of top Senate Republicans have sent a letter to President Biden protesting efforts to return to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and any lifting of sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

The letter comes as Biden officials are participating in indirect talks with Iran and international signatories to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the formal name for the nuclear deal, on how best to bring the U.S. and Iran back to compliance with the agreement.

The senators, who include senior members of several key committees, called the JCPOA a "failed" agreement and warned against the U.S. giving up leverage by removing sanctions.

It was signed by Senators Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), lead Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee; Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), lead Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, and Todd Young (R-Ind.), lead Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near East, South Asia, Central Asia, and Counterterrorism.

Let me know when there's something they DON'T voice opposition to.

If the Senate Republicans were all in front of a firing squad and Joe Biden showed up and yelled, stop the execution, I want to commute their sentences, the Republicans would all, in unison, yell, "no, FIRE!"

A lot of the argument for letting SA and Isreal do whatever the fuck they want in the region, goes away.

Cant have any of that.

I'm happy that Biden hasnt given up on this; its important.

"Senate Republicans voice opposition to Biden on_______". Or actually, just tell us when Republicans DON'T oppose Biden, instead of telling us the obvious.

Where would Iran be if that imperialist scumbag Tory Churchill didn't overthrown the democratic government of Iran in 53'?
