Were they making fake IDs so 18-20 year olds could get into clubs or so under 18 year olds could pretend they were over 18 at the hotel? Or were they engaged in ID theft for the traditional credit card fraud? Or some combination of those thing?

(33,643 posts)You cannot magically make people into non-minors simply by making them a fake ID. All you're doing is putting yourself in more legal jeopardy by doing so. Nobody is THAT stupid.

(33,643 posts)that someone else already paid for ... without ever getting asked for ID ... there's many hotels that are like that. And tons of motels. And even the ones that aren't, when you check in you can ask for a second key card, just get a room for two and say your wife or sibling or someone will be along shortly. So no, that seems unlikely.
ID's to get these escorts into clubs though, that's viable. These guys would likely want to take the young ladies out and show them off in public.
And also they could be offering these ID's as a form of payment. Not sure how much sex you'd get for one ID provided, but ... I'd imagine it'd be worth SOMETHING.

(2,799 posts)but unlike most hotel guests, those having speed and booze fueled orgies with underage girls are more likely to get noise complaints, and maybe cops. But that is probably the least likely of their motives.
But I think you are right that clubbing and I think a fake ID is definitely of monetary value.

It all had to appear legit.
But it wasn't.
Other questions asked were same as you stated.

(2,799 posts)I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't any credit card fraud in their crime spree. Gaetz is rich, don't know about the other guy. But they are both so sleazy, I don't they would be able to resist once it dawned on them that they could.
