Of all the Covid deaths in the US as of March 3—a total of 494,035—400,228 of them were people 65 and over, who represent just 15.2% of the population. All other age groups together (about 85% of the population) account for 94,007 of the deaths.

So 15% of the population accounts for more than 75% of the deaths. There’s a reason we’re being vaccinated first.
