(9,117 posts)To paraphrase PJ O'Rourke (I take perverse pleasure at citing right-wingers), "Age and gray hair beats youth and bad hair-styling."
Way to go, Vice-President Joe! Yaaay!

Lyin' Ryan can't hold a candle to our Joe.
And yes, he does look like a Muppet*
I love Muppets, but Ryan makes me gag. Yay Elmo!

(10,419 posts)But Ryan truly creeps me out. I hate everything he stands for - let alone that smug, smirking visage. If it were up to him, I'd be marched to a recycling center and manufactured into Soylent Green.
Bastard.

(25,415 posts)His workout pics are so douchey. I would take Biden over him and the man is older then my father. And Paul Ryan is older then me. Sincerity beats smarmy smugness any day.

(10,419 posts)Don't know if you remember the Bush #1 campaign, where he selected (or had selected for him) Dan Quayle as running mate because he was supposed to be "attractive to women". Say what??? He was a moron/moran. And I found that whole thought process offensive and degrading to women.
Joe is attractive. Barack (we're on a first name basis through constant email - can't contribute guys - I'm broke) is attractive. It's not just their looks, which are fine, but their character. The genuine affection they have for their families.
You know what I mean.

So, yeah, with that shit as your starting line, Ryan has quite a nice head start.

(8,515 posts)This huge win tonight takes a lot of pressure off all of us
for a little while. There has been a lot of bickering between
us concerning Obama's performance last week and it wasn't
pretty.Joe's performance tonight will allow us to move forward
together again and get back the Mojo we lost for a couple of days
after the 1st debate.
