Two debates and not one word on any gay civil rights issue

In a country still lacking a civil rights law protecting lgbt people not one word. In a country where lgbt people can't get married, not one word. In a country where lgbt kids routinely kill themselves to escape the bullying in their schools, not one word.

Stop being a single-issue voter. Why do you want Romney to win? Do you need "Teh List?!" Other people die from bullying, ya know! This election is too close, wait until after the election. Don't chase away voters!

COLOSSAL !!!!!

Did I miss any?!

12. Perhaps not, but it is an issue and does deserve to be discussed.

This is especially true since the republicans are keeping it in their speeches. It needs to be discussed! These are CIVIL RIGHTS issues!! Civil rights issues are ALWAYS pressing! Seriously!

I took it as a collective.

I wish there were more specifics on gay rights, however.

11. While I agree with you that the civil rights of all Americans should be more front and center...

I also recognize that the Presidential race will be decided on a couple of issues, none of which are the status of LGBT rights...

It will be decided primarily on the economy and people's feelings about where the economy is going and which policies will improve or hurt the economy whether they are stimulus, taxes, regulation, etc.

Next up will be a combination of people's views on health care and, interestingly enough, women's rights and immigration.

But I believe the Democrats will come out swinging in support of LGBT rights if the topic is raised by a moderator or an opposing candidate. If Robme says he believes the President is immoral for his personal and party's support for marriage equality, Obama will trounce him on that issue.

As a gay man I sometimes feel my issues are pushed to the back of the bus but I have to accept the issues that matter to most Americans and that will decide the election lie elsewhere. If I can support the election of a candidate that I know supports my goals, I will defer any open discussion of my personal priorities.

Hang in there!!!
