If without the benefit of retroactivity, Romney lied on his taxes

by deliberately failing to report assets held overseas in offshore tax havens like Switzerland, then why do people who support him think he's being honest with them when he claims he's going to fight for THEM? I'm not getting that.

Note that I am saying IF he lied on his taxes, and frankly, I believe the pundits who say he did, and that he took the 2009 IRS amnesty (which was itself an amnesty about dishonesty about taxes).
