Capitol Security Officers Take Wrecking Ball to Conspiracy Talk at Senate Hearing: This Was a Planned, Coordinated Attack
By Colby HallFeb 23rd, 2021, 11:55 am
The Senate Hearing about the Capitol attacks on Jan. 6 opened with some revealing commentary by four current and former security officials involved on that day.
After opening statements, Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) asked some simple yes or no questions designed to removed some opacity over what happened on that historic day and what really was going on during the deadly attacks led by Trump supporters.
Based on what we know now, including the recent department of justice indictments, do you agree that there is now clear evidence that supports the conclusion that the January 6th insurrection was planned and it was a coordinated attack on the U.S. Capitol? Senator Klobuchar asked. All four officials agreed.
Would you agree that this attack involved white supremacists and extremist groups? she followed, to which everyone also agreed. Would you agree that this was a highly dangerous situation which was horrific, but could have actually been worse without the courage of the officers that you commanded? Klobuchar asked, to which everyone also agreed.
The former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund, who resigned after the attack, then answered the next questions and revealed that he was not made aware of an FBI intelligence report about the attacks that had been filed the day before, and explained that the Capitol Police does not have its own intelligence operation and is solely reliant on that which is shared with him by 18 federal intel agencies.

I think it started with Nixon, sold as pablum by Reagan, and mostly downhill since! On the R side, that is.

(236 posts)ya didnt have to bring liberals in to help - try at least - elect the right people in Wisconsin 😊. The U does seem to be kind of a liberal magnet. I live in MN, and every kid Ive known that looked at, or went to Madison, from here or, elsewhere outside Wisconsin, was a good liberal.

(1,695 posts)Question: Why did the FBI NOT make the Capitol Police aware of the FBI intelligence report about the attacks? WHO made the decision NOT to make that report available?
Then get that person.
WHO told you NOT to share the FBI intel report.
Ask those people those simple questions and the string will lead to .......

(80,521 posts)included Antifa when he remarked about the rabble on Jan 6th.
Did anyone question him about that? WERE THERE actual Antifa people there? Where did he get that? How does he know? Or is he just guessing and sweeping it all up together in some big miasma of nogoodniks that day?
Asking because we slept in and missed most of the hearing.

(2,002 posts)is another classic example of right-wingers accusing the left of doing that thing they themselves are guilty of, in this case, of being agents provacateurs.
From a May 2020 Just Security.org website article:
The protests that have torn through the United States, following the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minnesota police officers, shift the emphasis in real time videos broadcast nationally. The images challenge our beliefs about who is really protesting and for what reason.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz echoed this sentiment in a press conference on Saturday alleging that the demonstrations that caused so much damage included provocateurs, likely from outside the area. State officials said around 80 percent of those arrested in the Twin Cities on Friday were from outside Minnesota. Former FBI agent and CNN commentator, Josh Campbell wrote, that Minnesota authorities have been monitoring alleged criminals online, including postings by suspected white supremacists trying to incite violence.
Before the rioting started in Washington DC, Brooklyn, Denver, Atlanta, and other cities, allegations emerged that undercover police officers might be to blame for some of the worst commercial destruction in Minneapolis. Experts on political violence (and not just Qanon conspiracy theorists) shared stories on social media that the May 27 looting and arson at AutoZone by an unidentified man in a gas mask carrying an open umbrella (dubbed #umbrellaman) was not necessarily a protester but could be an agent provocateur or member of the police. In video posted to YouTube, while this man smashed windows with a hammer, protesters at the scene accused him of being an outsider and began to film him.

(12,329 posts)Later, he privately messaged Steven Carrillo, another alleged Boogaloo Boi in California, urging him to go for police buildings, according to the federal criminal complaint.
I did better, lol, Carrillo allegedly replied.
Hours before Carrillo sent that message, according to the complaint, federal prosecutors say Carrillo had driven to Oakland with an accomplice, and, as protesters were demonstrating blocks away, shot two officers guarding a federal courthouse in downtown Oakland, killing one, David Patrick Underwood.

This is a classic example of right-wingers trying to blame BLM or Antifa for their false flags. That's why when they found a pig's head in Speaker Pelosi's driveway and a graffiti that said "$2K rent. We want everything" along with an Anarchist symbol, I knew it was right-wingers.

(2,002 posts)I know next to nothing about Antifa, but just the fact that they're left leaning makes me think that they are not naturally bent on causing harm to others, and that their intent is not anarchy but social justice.
And I'm pretty sure that they would not stoop so low as to behead some poor pig.

(16,564 posts)They should all be censured and/or removed. They are not Americans. I really don't know who they report to, but it ain't your average American. Hawley, Johnson, Cruz, Graham, Louis the Gomer, and on and on. Who is funding these assholes, or is it so widespread there are too many donors to track?
