that he believed, and made his supporters believe, that Pence had the power to overturn the electoral college votes. Why has no one this brought up? He played president for four (long) years, and didn't even know how the system works. Shouldn't a president know such a basic thing? Shouldn't people who run for office know basic civics?

1. He knows he lost by the rules. He was looking for a way to break them.

He was trying to get state legislatures to just plain change the outcome because he didn't like the result.

He wasn't looking to find a way to win by the rules.

He wanted pence to do something like "gee, every time I count these votes, I keep getting trump adds up to 400 electoral votes! Maybe I'm not good at counting but that's what I get!"

2. I don't think he's clueless at all.

He was told by his lawyers and pretty much everyone around him what Pence's role was in the process.

He knew and just lied about it to keep up the charade. Just like everything else since he lost.

3. I heard that some senators had never seen footage of the assault-

until the House Managers showed it. They watch OANN which never showed it.

Trump: President who cared so little about governing, he didn't know the constitution.
GOP Senators: Avoid news even about an assault ON THEM because they don't want to know.

The whole party is rank and rancid know-nothings.

4. Trump is a simpleton ...

In his world, if something must be 'signed' by some party to make it 'official', then that party can refuse to sign, thus not allowing it to become official.

That's the depth of his 'understanding'.

I think he needs some experience with 'plea agreements' to help him grasp the concept of 'negative consequences if you choose not to sign'.

5. It's also truly amazing.

That trump doesn’t know how the same Day election votes and mail in ballots are counted.

He claims he was ahead and winning (same day election voting) but started to see votes being added in (mail in ballots from mostly Democrats) that made him think that fraud was happening.

Most of the the electorate voting, wanted him out, and can’t understand why.

Such a sad, dumb and angry manchild he is.
