OH, MAN!!!

It started snowing here in the DC area about an hour ago. Supposed to snow “lightly” all day tomorrow and maybe some Friday morning.

I’m a TX native. I hate snow. People here don’t know how to drive in it. At least in TX, we knew how to STAY HOME until it melted. Which was about 4-6 hours. If that!

an event used for good neighborly helpfulness and enjoyment of winter sports, hot chocolate, etc... there's always a few that will take advantage. I hope you will be safe and snug as Suzy Snowflakes come down. Be glad it won't be below zero as it will here and won't last for weeks.

It's been snowing here in western NY every day for the past week. During this time, the high temps have been in the 20s during the day and down to 9 degrees at night. Predictions for the next few days are lower, with highs in the teens, and 1 or 0 overnight. Common weather here for February. Fortunately, winds have been low, around 12 to 14 mph or the wind chill would be worse.

But, it's all in what you are used to. Our weather here would be called mild in Minnesota.

maybe about four days every winter that it's even close to bad and all hell breaks out. People expect the whole town to be cleared instantly, but don't want to pay for the army of city guys that would take for as little snow as we get.

I have a 4X4 Silverado and am going grocery shopping before the snow is supposed to hit tomorrow afternoon. I'd be fine driving in it, but I don't trust everyone else. The truck stays parked until the roads are okay.
