Mitch McConnell's hypocrisy is sickening. He and the forty-four Republicans he led to

vote 'no' on the contitutionality of the Senate trial are Americans in Name Only. AINOs.

They have put party over country for so long, they have forgotten how to be Americans, the republic, and the people.

Americans in Name Only.

AINO.

have been purifying their party for years and this may be the ender of which way the republican party may go.

I still think that the establishment portion of the party will prevail but alas the in fighting is soaring and the beating up will continue for awhile. Do I feel some empathy for them - no, but I do feel for "us" who are in the middle of this madness.

To see who in the GOP caucus will vote on conviction.

This vote will be the biggest vote of their lives. It will forever define them as insurrectionists against nation they serve.

44, that's the sedition caucus in the Senate.

I keep thinking the Human Species will finally grow up...

but alas, Mother Earth may not give us enough time to undo what we have so savagely wrought.

Regardless, I'll keep fighting to improve the lot of Human Kind.

I have to remain optimistic to stay sane, I cannot yet admit that our species is a total failure.

be better off.

Still, I'm not quite ready to call it quits. We are in an existential race with time, but Biden came out of the gate so hard, his administration shattered the gate. He is shaping up to be a transformational president.

Maybe we'll get it together.

We are all speculating as to why the Republicans are supporting Trump, ignoring facts, and acting against our Democracy.

They have different goals and values than we do. They are not concerned about our Democracy. They are fascists who want to control the money and keep the power for their own benefit. They are still working on their goals. The latest election set them back a bit, and perhaps sent them back underground. They were getting bold and exposing themselves for who they actually are. Look at their actions--they have not changed. The Johnsons (Ron and jacketless Jim) still spew the Russian propaganda. McConnell still refuses to pass laws that would protect Democracy (follow the money he and his wife receive), and he fills the courts with like minded traitors. He undermines the impeachment effort by refusing to address it until after Trump is out of office--and then votes that the impeachment is unconstitutional because it was not done while he was in office. His recent words comfort us, but his actions are all about overturning our Democracy. Trump is a Russian stooge who had been groomed for years to take on his role. And many in the house and senate are his toadies.

We need to weed out these traitors.

the Sedition caucus have been working and looking for a "stooge" in this case a Russian asset for years, to aid in their goals of power and greed. I agree with others here we need to weed them out.

by what he says, but then he doesn't have the courage to do the right thing. He knows his voters would hold him responsible. So, in effect, Mc votes to save his position of power over what is best for the country. He has no honor, no character and no morals. The founders were driven by honor and service, McConnell is the anthesis of that kind of national leader. He serves only his own self interests.

Those Senators who did not watch that video from yesterday I hope they are haunted by their own self serving interests, how do they live with themselves???? They can all go to hell.

That big government can’t do anything right, and they have been perfectly willing to let hundreds of thousands of Americans die in a pandemic, just to be right, and prove their point. Evil doesn’t begin to describe them. As I’ve said before, sociopaths have no conscience. This enables them to do anything, no matter how vile.
