Ryan/Romney Plan For Head Start - Turn It Over To The Churches Under ===

a faith based plan. That way these Christian "mad-rassas" can properly "edgecate" the little children on the Bible.

ADDENDUM -- Headstart is hated by the conservatives and churches because it is too secular and liberal. When you have an agenda to make this a Christian country run on Christian principles instead of the Constitution they so dearly love, then you have to go after the children and the youth. Hitler did such a thing and was quite successful at it.

Headstart is one of the main targets of the RW and the churches and would be one of the first programs targeted for "conversion".
If you listen to Congressman Broun that has been and will always be their intention.

Let's just make sure ignorance starts young. A creation museum on every block would be next.

Also, this would put pressure on parents to affiliate with a Church because of their child being in head start there. How long before notes come home to little Bobby's parents inviting (pressuring) them to show up at services for a meet and greet? Then what's wrong with Bobby's parents that they aren't at Church? Are they good parents at all? Should social services be notified about the obvious neglect little Bobby is suffering?

There are a lot of people in this country that don't go to church, don't believe in religion or God and want to keep it that way. Faith based plans discriminate against them and anyone that doesn't belong to a faith that is included in a government funded program.
