4. Here you go

The usual suspects - but Scott of SC surprises me.

Wonder what his problem is?

Blackburn (R-TN)
Cassidy (R-LA)
Cotton (R-AR)
Cruz (R-TX)
Hagerty (R-TN)
Hawley (R-MO)
Lankford (R-OK)
Marshall (R-KS)
Rubio (R-FL)
Scott (R-FL)
Scott (R-SC)
Shelby (R-AL)
Tuberville (R-AL)

7. Several of them want to run for President

and would like to neutralize Pete. He is so much smarter than any of them.

The others (which include the Presidential aspirants) are Trump bootlickers.

8. Here are their statements (not all made them)

Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has released a statement claiming that environmentalism is the real problem here.
?s=19

Roger Marshall (R-KS) has released a statement claiming Pete is not qualified despite voting for Betsy DeVos and Ben Carson.
?s=19

Rick Scott (R-FL) has released a statement arguing that the gas tax is too high despite it not raising since 1993.
?s=19

James Lankford (R-OK) had a spokesperson suggest Pete was not qualified despite his own record of naivety. https://www.google.com/amp/s/oklahoman.com/article/5681569/oklahoma-senators-split-on-buttigieg-confirmation/amp

Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Tim Scott (R-SC), Richard Shelby (R-AL), and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) were too cowardly to declare their bald and blatant homophobia.

Josh Hawley (R-MO) has gone out of his way to vote against all of Biden's nominees. https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewsolender/2021/02/02/josh-hawley-has-voted-against-all-biden-cabinet-nominees-so-far-heres-what-that-means/

These thirteen Senators are also noted as some of the most anti-LGBTQIA+ Congresspeople, most of whom will be running for president in 2024. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.advocate.com/politics/2021/2/02/13-mostly-antigay-senators-who-voted-against-sec-pete-buttigieg%3famp

5. Both Tennessee senators voted no. Tennessee has become a RWNJ state

with the retirement of Alexander and Corker.

9. I need to know why they felt the need to vote no.

My only guess is they did so just to be assholes.

11. I've come to believe the need to be assholes is now the operating principle of the Republicans.

They wake up in the morning and say to themselves "Now what is the most dick move I can make today?"

And I'm not just talking about their officials. It seems to be the cohesive property that holds them together.
