Yes, but only if he is arrested by the FBI for sedition and conspiracy against the United States.

No, it would only embolden his right-wing followers even more.

Yes, because there is nothing good that will come from further action on this matter.

1. Hard NO.

This is about laying down a marker for history and making the Rethugs go on the record as standing with seditionists and traitors. Hang the albatross around their necks. Make them own it, in public, on the historical record.

5. I agree with the sentiment that they cannot spin or change the historical record.

And they will never be able to defend their vote to not convict when it is on the historical record.

Make them pay the price.

NO secret ballot, NO voice vote. I would make them step up to the well of the Senate and sign one of two books: The Democracy Book or the Traitors Book.

Good thing no one is asking me. LOL

What have the GOP offered in return for forgoing the trial?

Have they agreed to vote of for any of Biden's legislative initiatives? No!

Fuck that shit!

I am sure almost all think he needs to be BOTH impeached AND criminally prosecuted, but people just saw the NO option, do not cancel, and banged it

without reading down further

people correcting bad hot takes that go full erroneous outrage, so many keeping diving in and dropping the same argy bargy in more and more new posts

people just do not read (or in those cases watch) carefully, and do so far too often

another one is when a totally false OP is made, with a simple and profound error, and again, despite so many correcting it, you have dozens (at times) just pour in and react to the false positing loooong after it was exposed (until and if the OP is self deleted)

drives me bonkers as we are supposed to be the rational, deep thinking, factually aware party

I suspect some of it might be to do with how people access DU.

If you're reading it on a phone, it can be a bit awkward, so it's less wonder that some replies etc. get skipped. Also, people may be multi-tasking.

With video?

Why shouldn't they?

(They could show the thugs rummaging thru the desk of Ted Cruz)

the trial has video evidence, and the trial should not be put off. Not on a twice impeached cretin.

Also I want those Reps, and Senators who are in support of "moving along" get their names dragged in the mud.
