Just FYI, Those 45 Votes To CANCEL The Impeachment Hearings Yesterday WERE NOT 45 Votes To Acquit!

Those were 45 votes from GOP Senators who are SCARED SHITLESS of being forced into a position of having to vote on whether they think Trump's behavior on the 6th was acceptable or not. Seditious or not.

They're so desperate to NOT be put in that position that they tried this slick, spineless little trick. The House votes to impeach Trump, meaning A) the impeachment happened WHILE he was still in office, so this is NOT analogous to their threats to go back and impeach Obama for wearing a tan suit, and B) the Senate HAS to hold a trial. So, McConnell says "we can't have the trial until he's out of office," and then says "we can't have a trial BECAUSE he's out of office."

Nice try, dirtbags, but your panicked, flop sweat is showing. They've been jumping around on every possible news outlet, concern trolling over how 'divisive' this will be. The desperation is palpable.

They voted to dismiss the trial because they're desperate to not be pushed into the position of having to GO ON RECORD as saying whether they approve of Trump's behavior or not. They're screwed either way. If they vote to acquit, they'll be attacked from the left; and if they vote to convict, they'll be attacked from the right.

No, the 45 votes you saw yesterday were NOT a reflection of how the GOP Senators will vote. It's a reflection of HOW BADLY they DON'T WANT TO HAVE THIS TRIAL.

If this trial goes forward, I guarantee you that more than five will vote to convict; and I guarantee you that ALL of them will be damaged.

And I'm almost certain that the reason why they voted the way they did yesterday is because they don't want to admit who was responsible for this. Whoever it was will get found out and their ass is grass.

Supposedly members of the Trump family met with Tuberville and far right leaders at Trump DC Plaza to discuss the rally. This could be huge if there's definitive evidence.

Even without conviction, they will be on the record after all the evidence is shown and witnesses heard from.

Side Note: If there are not enough votes to convict, let's not have headlines that read "Trump Acquitted" again. They should read "GOP votes to Acquit".

If you think this means 17 Republicans could vote to convict, I fear you will be deeply disappointed.

Complete with evidence. Then make them choose between America and Shit for Brains. Let the whole world see them for what they are - traitors.

on the constitutionality of the impeachment.

So it was a sort of meta vote on the impeachment and the actual question didn't come up.

I've written both my cowardly senators (Burr and Tillis, who've been remarkably silent).
I retweeted the Meidas Touch Sedition Jumbotron to every Republican Senator I can think of, and Manchin, and Sinema and any other shaky democrats.

Flood them.

If you aren't from their state, go to Zillow. Borrow an address, preferably form a high dollar zip code.
