Does Hallmark make a card that helps you apologize to the IRS?

I sent them a few nasty emails about the $1200 stimulus check. They said they sent it to my debit card.

Well they did, sort of. They sent me an American Express card back in 2019 for a tax rebate, but I didn't get it because I went to student loans. I had it stuffed in with some paperwork I had a friend hold for me while I tried to get back on my feet.

Totally forgot it till today. I was going through the paperwork now I got it back. I went ahead and called it, activated it. Low and behold I had $1,200 on it.

Boy, when I think of those nagging emails.....

I know that you are struggling so hopefully that will give some leeway to take care of some necessities and that i will also leave something to do something more frivolous since you deserve to pamper yourself.

It will help a lot with keeping my phone activated and transportation to doctors that Social Security keeps sending me to.

They say I can just do a bus but getting around on a bus is hard on me.

amputation of my foot. The closest place for me to shop is a convenience store about 8 blocks away. I have about 15 minutes to shop while the bus completes the remainder of the route to the transfer station and then I have about 40 minutes to ride the bus before I get to my apartment. Needless to say, I can't carry much to begin with and of course anything that melts isn't on my shopping list (ice cream is a precious commodity).

Going to the grocery store or liquor store is even worse. From the time I leave the apartment to getting back inside takes about 2.5 hours. I have to remember to leave the apartment with an empty bladder or I won't make it home in time. It usually takes about ten minutes to carry the groceries and my wheelchair up the stairs bumping my butt up the stairs one step at a time. The last time was also quite painful since I had a boil on my butt from sitting on the shower chair.

I wish you the best of luck since I've been in a homeless shelter myself. It provides an education that most people who never had a similar experience can comprehend.

They will rape and pillage you without batting an eye, let alone an apology! You owe them no courtesy, only the $$ due. Do not treat them as human beings.

If not I'd noT spend the extra $600 just yet. If they accidentally paid you twice they'll be wanting it back. If this is for 2 people then ignore my post and enjoy your money!

I just didn't know I had it till today. It has been setting there on that card for months and I didn't know it. I didn't even remember they sent it to me till I went through my old tax papers today.

So now I have gotten the first round. No more complaining that I didn't get it. I had it the whole time, just didn't know it.

I went to IRS.gov when this stimulus stuff started and gave them my Green Dot card info. But they sent it to the card they sent me instead.

When the $600 was signed, it went to my Green Dot card.

It's been a bit of a wild trip over this. And I did send so snarky emails about it.....

“Thank you for your attention, the problem has been solved on my end” will do, and honest to gods someone will be grateful the customer is not cussing them out. Good karma for you, too.

I am so happy for you, by the way!
