Our government sorely needs a new source of revenue or additional revenue from existing sources.

Forbes published this? I'm surprised. It goes against everything fiscal conservatives are running against.

Forbes is generally right-leaning and a cheerleader for right wing economic and business principles.

Still, his whole piece is much more fact than opinion. He even provides links to non-politically biased sources for his data.

His responses to the haters in the comments section are excellent.

I keep hearing about that damned clock and how much the "food stamp president" is costing us per day.

So does this chart attribute the previous president for the first year of the next term. Reagan was elected in 80 and 84, clinton in 92 and 96 and PBO in 08. Yet each term starts the year after...

But aside from that, this really isnt shocking to those outside the republican bubble.

So the 2009 budget was approved under Bush. Fy2010 was Obama's first budget without any Bush spending.

"Slowest growth in Federal spending".

When you start with a very high budget, you are spending more but you are not increasing spending as much.
