ABC News: "Game Change! It's a whole new ball game as Romney takes the lead"

Yes folks, that was Diane Sawyer's opening line tonight. I had just watched my local news and there she was, declaring that Romney is now in the lead and attacking Obama on foreign policy.

Quoting the Pew poll.

Fuck the MSM.

The media and their spin is sure to make it seem plausible when the machines begin to switch votes. It's all so scary but i keep my hopes alive by just talking to real people. Most seem to be for Obama. i only hope the voting suppression methods they put in place impede the senior FL low information voters as much as others.

This is blaring EVERYWHERE. Romney's winning, shades of Reagan, Obama is Carter and more. Were people just looking for a reason to dump the President and they've now found it with the debate?

Is this just bullshit to make the race seem close? Is it bullshit designed to allow them to steal the election? Or are we in real, serious trouble here?

I don't think I can handle it if Romney wins.

Blanket the media with how great Romney is doing. Blanket the country with Romney signs. Hope no one notices Obama's support.

Did the MSM threaten President Obama's children or something to make him so diminished?

I wish he would have been stronger, I wish he would have looked less tired, and I hope that in the next Presidential debate he roars back and bites so hard that Romney is left with his hair and a hand wave.

The MSM wanted a Horse Race. They got one. Now, they get to see how determined Democrats are to get MORE Democrats elected.

Are you feeling dejected? Get off of your ass and work locally and in your State.

Are you giving in to having this great country foreclosed upon?

Are you perhaps feeling that while Romney is a horrible candidate, he's white, so he can beat Obama?

Here's an answer. Fuck that. Get off of your ass and fight. Fight those that spew Republican screed, speak clearly and kindly to those that can be swayed, and don't ever give up.

Sorry Diane, but Rmoney is not leading, so lay down that crack pipe you've been smoking, and report that Romney has not released any of his tax returns for the last 12 years.

Zero.

A summary is not a tax return.

in the other thread. Heavily weighted to 50 years old+, white, from the South. Of course it came out with Romney ahead. Much more weighted in that direction and the "OMG ROMNEY LANDSLIDE" headlines would be running.

They are too small to sample on the true feelings of Americans today.

Romney would not even win right now.

I trust the Nate Silver numbers because I have never seen him wrong, and has been close to accurate.

I think there are still a few surprises coming and not very favorable to Romney either.

He will fail the next debate - the town hall format. Unless he gets about 99% of his sycophants on the stage pretending to be undecided voters.

And the third debate? Romney is a lightweight on the subject, and Bob Schieffer will just try to throw softballs on him, which Obama will be at his best - blasting away Romney on foreign policy.

20. The pew poll is a outlier
Mon Oct 8, 2012, 07:06 PM
Oct 2012

First look at it this way. Yes Romney did get a bounce, but the bounce was short lived. When Sunday nights job number hit Obama gained. Obama had some great news that helped him bring the polls back to what it is. That is what the Gallup shows is the Job Numbers made a big difference. Obama has recovered since the debate so the poll is not reflecting the current news.

It's a snap shot of Romney's bounce, but the other polls are showing that bounce was short lived. That is why it's a Outlier the date it was taken and the fact Gallup had two polls one at 47 and the 50 to 45 Obama in the lead. Gallup is showing the current results after the Job info.

But results showing a 7 point loss for Obama among blacks to Mitt Romney? I do not buy that. Three points, maybe even five I could agree with, but seven? No way. Something is wrong.

and white voters.

Borrowing the graphic from ProSense, who posted it here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021496439

Note age of those surveyed:
18-49 338 voters
50+ 761 voters

Race:
White 869 voters
Black 116 voters
Hispanic 57 voters (and for some reason, there are no results for Hispanic voters)

and Ideology:
Conservative 505 voters
Moderate 382 voters
Liberal 204 voters

Of course the poll is going to show Romney in the lead when the poll is so heavily weighted in his strongest demographics - old, white and conservative voters.

Edit: it's Likely Voters that shows Romney up by 4. I've changed the polling numbers from the N values for Registered voters to the N values for Likely Voters.

Then they were forced to report on the Gallup poll. What happen is the 47 point tie gallup poll was what they originally wanted to report. The Pew poll is what they are going to in order to leech on their planned narrative.

We need polls that were done after the jobs report and the half assed fact checking of Mittens debate performance. Polls done on Thursday and Friday, to use a word, skew the polls we have seen.

Lets keep our heads and not sound like the pugs from two weeks ago. We don't really sound like them because we are asking legitimate questions about when and where these polls were taken, the pugs just said they were all lies basically, even Faux.

We will be fine... or we won't... but we need more data.

That the MSM is saying what it is saying is not shocking, I mean really, WE KNOW THIS. Horserace and all that, they want it close blah blah blah...

After Joe hopefully kicks butt with "Marathon Man" on Thursday, lets see where we are like on Monday next.
