"She didn't have to do that. No one else did it."

Most people know her as Jill Biden. But to some she is Dr. B, the compassionate and challenging educator who went the extra mile.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/jill-biden-professor/2021/01/12/c5ec4a74-4ea3-11eb-bda4-615aaefd0555_story.html

Stack said that while settling into American life she caught bronchitis and coughed endlessly though her classes.

“I didn’t have insurance. I didn’t even know where to go to the doctor,” Stack said. “[Biden] was trying to help me and figure out how to get that care. She didn’t have to do that. No one else did it.”

And the compassion was returned. Biden, in her memoir, recounted the time her sister underwent a stem cell transplant. The professor told her class at NOVA that she would miss their next session so she could care for her sister.

“I quickly faced the whiteboard so the students wouldn’t see the tears filling my eyes,” Biden wrote. “When I turned back around, every single student was standing. They made a line and came up to hug me, one by one. At that moment, I knew just how much I needed them.”

I gotta tell everyone:

I fully expect some of my FORMER RepubliCON friends and family that I have banished from my life, will come to me, dragging their butts, and trying and get back into my life........

I will have one short thing to say: *FUCK OFF*

OUR LIVES HAVE BEEN MADE HELL FOR FOUR YEARS, AND PROBABLY WILL BE FOR A LOT OF US FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES... AND YOU THINK YOU CAN PRETEND THIS CONFLAGRATION NEVER HAPPENED WHEN YOU DID EVERYTHING YOU COULD DO, TO MAKE IT HAPPEN?

FUCK YOU...................

(And, the RepuliCON party and politicians will be falling over themselves to try to distance themselves from Trumpism and pretend they had nothing to do with Trump and begging the Republican Voters to keep supporting them. SCREW EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM TOO...........)

Again, there is nothing redeemable or admirable about the Trumps, but the sheer amount that they pale in comparison to the Obamas AND the Bidens is jarring.

I LOVE that we are going back to "I needed ALL of them..." from "I don't really care, do u?"

is much more accurate - and disturbing.

And your description of the "First Couple" is chillingly accurate.

Sometimes people need clear black & white displayed directly in front of them in order to begin to understand.

Well stated!

Civil type stories.

No p*ssy grabbing, no horrible divisive rhetoric.

And, “Dr. B” wasn’t wearing a jacket that day in class, as she faced the white board that said “I don’t really care, do you?”

Another Democratic First Lady, WHO'S ACTUALLY A LADY, and not some yucky silicone and botox filled squeaky toy for the most gross adult/child in the world.

Dr. Jill Biden is going to be an amazing First Lady, to go along with an amazing president, Joe Biden, and an incredible vice-president, Kamala Harris. A round of applause for them all.

She teaches at a community college. Her students are largely first-generation college students, many have financial challenges and may have issues with food or housing, and often are juggling school, work, and a family. These are students that have so many obstacles to face when trying to succeed. These students deserve excellence and compassion, and it's one more reason I think Dr. Biden is amazing.
