Romney sounded like a Peacenick in the first part of this speech

I hope Obama is going to give one of his best here.

He's an automaton. He has been coached to a point where he can turn his gentle and aggressive tones on and off.

All Romney's camp has is Romney is not President Obama, President Obama need to take advantage of that narrative.

7. I wasn't referring to ideas

I was referring to tone and generalities.

For a lot of that speech Romney sounded humanized. He was using what sounded to me as a kindly religious advisor. ie his bishop voice.
He switch to a more business like tone, but never sounded too aggressive. It was very unusual.

And the expectation is that Obama will claim the fact that people have been killed as part of his success.
