Thousands of Covid-19 vaccines winding up in the trash
It's unclear how many doses have wound up in the trash because many hospitals aren't reporting these numbers for fear of retribution, a leading public health doctor said.

of the failure of our national system based on a confederation of states.
We really need to talk about each state having their own regulations for health , education, taxes, gun laws, voting laws, licensing etc., etc.-it leads to at the minimum inefficiencies and in the worse case , major failures .

Just give them to whoever wants them. Set up at a health care facility so health care workers will have easiest access, but give a shot to whoever is in line. This is going far too slowly. It’s absolutely criminal that doses are going to waste because the *right* people weren’t there to give them to.

Setting up all these special single-purpose vaccination sites takes a lot longer than pushing it out to the medical community that normally vaccinates.

Especially since I'm sure that the politicians have to give contracts to their supporters, make sure that the "right" people are hired, etc. All the usual county/municipal political grifting.
