Congressman calls evolution lie from ‘pit of hell’

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia Rep. Paul Broun said in videotaped remarks that evolution, embryology and the Big Bang theory are "lies straight from the pit of hell" meant to convince people that they do not need a savior.

The Republican lawmaker made those comments during a speech Sept. 27 at a sportsman’s banquet at Liberty Baptist Church in Hartwell. Broun, a medical doctor, is running for re-election in November unopposed by Democrats

OK, my first question: Why is this moron running unopposed?

and the DEMs in Georgia have just decided to call it quits.

They GAVE Georgia to the Republicans, without a fight.

The Georgia DEM party only fights with each other, not Republicans.

2. Because stupid candidates like Broun (a physician), pander to a lot of even more ignorant voters.

A candidate can wrap most of Georgia up with a big dose of racism, religious BS, and Tbaggerism.

This is a college town. There's simply no way in hell Broun would have won if there was a DEM party registering those college kids.

libertarians).

Seriously, below are counties that elect Broun. Only 1 is Athens (and I have my doubts about Athens). The rest are steeped in Tbaggerism.

Banks County

Clarke County

Columbia County

Elbert County

Franklin County

Greene County

Habersham County

Hart County

Jackson County

Lincoln County

Madison County

McDuffie County

Morgan County

Oconee County

Oglethorpe County

Putnam County

Rabun County

Richmond County

Stephens County

Towns County

Wilkes County

I've met WAY too many. And, all those counties put together don't have the number of registered voters Athens would have combined.

And, if the Georgia DEMs would stop beating EACH OTHER up and pick on some Republicans once in a while, Broun wouldn't be in office.

Georgia DEMs = Zell Miller.

Nothing more needs to be said.

in Georgia politics. Fortunately Carter made up for it later. Zell Miller is a joke, as are most of the state's "leaders."

Hang in there.

Jimmy Carter is as close to a "true" Christian as anyone will have the good fortune to meet.

Now, here's the true question of the day.......

Did Paul Broun go into politics because he couldn't make a living as a Doctor? Seriously, how does one go through MEDICAL SCHOOL and still believe evolution is from the "pit of hell" and maintain a medical career?

I doubt even the cows in those counties would want to go to Dr. Paul Broun.
