Thank you DU. One month ago I was just a frustrated Republican who was extremely disappointed with whom my party nominated, since I felt lied to. You see, once I supported him and then I discovered he was a phoney. I was like a bride left at the altar; angry and bitter. I wrote a letter venting my anger, and why I felt that way, which I tried to post on Republican blogs. It kept on being taken down, so I posted it here.
I was amazed at the response I got, more then 17,000 page views, hundreds of tweets, and rec's. It is even more amazing since I am long winded and my post was more then 25,000 characters. But I know it is unlikely I changed many votes here, since most members here were voting for Obama to begin with. So with the encouragement of DU'ers I put up a web site. With the help of other DU'ers I have also been able to put some social networking buttons on the site. I now feel my site will be an effective tool to work with. My long letter has been broken down into eight pages, around a common topic, so it can be read over a period of time. I have also added material on new pages that were not in the original letter.
However I did make one mistake, I put up a discussion board which I have not had time to moderate since I was working on the site. It has been taken over by Romney supporters who must lurk here. Some of their postings are pretty funny, and it gives you a view of the mind set of Romney supports. Our country is in a heap of trouble if they take it over.
