Rudy Guiliani's misplaced phone call that's been exposed puts them in deep trouble,

He said he was the Presidents lawyer saying "WE" need you to obstruct election results. That's illegal, and if trump tries to pardon it away , he'll lose if its challenged. trump is involved with the crime, and he can't pardon anyone he's involved in crimes with to escape justice, and the Supreme Court will rule against his pardon because its actually to protect him criminality. Once again Rudy has screwed trump good. They will rule pardons weren't ever intended for use for self protection from criminal liability. He can't pardon himself, and this would do that.

If your lawyer conspires to commit a crime with you, it breaks lawyer client privilege.

A great lawyer like Rudy should know that.

Rudy calls tucking his shirt in.

I don't think he will knowingly turn on trump. He just can't help himself from spilling the beans.

Rudy, like trump have surrounded themselves with ass kissers and people who have no problem breaking the law. So much so that they believe what they are doing is perfectly fine. They have to brag so everyone else knows how smart they are.

And trump can't help but attack him now, and Rudy will turn on him if it'll help him escape charges or a longer sentence in a heartbeat. Rudy will clap back at his threats, and if cornered will talk.

in the aforementioned butt-dial, he told (someone he thought was Tubbyvillian) to object to counting every state, "when you reconvene around 8pm tonight". Whoever received this message was still in lockdown, or very close to that timeline.

This is not going to end well for these criminals.

If he pardons them, he tacitly acknowledges that they were wrong to storm the capitol. It will also all but guarantee his conviction in the Senate when the time comes for that. That being said, he'd alienate a bunch of his base if he doesn't pardon them. Rock meets hard place.

And even if he did, most of those already arrested have been charged with relatively minor crimes - not because they didn't do anything serious, but because it was easier and faster to get arrest warrants that way. Charges can be added as the investigation continues, presumably after he's out of office. And anyone arrested after the 20th is SOL.

Some of Trump’s pardons, to date, reek of conspiracy to obstruct justice. And any pardons with respect to his perpetration of election fraud and the Capitol sedition will, most certainly, be conspiracy to obstruct justice.

All 10 Republicans in the House who voted for impeachment stressed what Trump was doing during the hours while the riot was going on more so than his words inciting violence. They justified their vote based on dereliction of duty. This horrible thing was going on threatening our democracy at the capitol and he was sitting on his hands across town and perhaps deliberately obstructing calls for military help. This provides a bit of a blueprint I think for how to get GOP votes in the senate. The call while they were hiding in the tunnels from the mob speaks to what the President was doing and what his focus was on DURING the riots. It certainly wasn't on defusing the situation it was still on obstructing the vote.

Some arrests at the Capitol, mostly on misdemeanor charges. The current administration will not allow the law to be followed. I don't know if it is in Biden's weal house to go after this law breaking, we shall see.
