From Bill Clinton's first Inaugural Ball

MTV Inaugural Ball 1993, natalie merchant michael stipe singing "To SIr With Love"

I can remember it like it was yesterday. Don Henley performed Dirty Laundry. BTW what happened to Dennis Miller? What an odd journey he has taken. America seemed like a much less complicated place.

Bush was in the White House. I walked past it. I don't remember thinking I much I hated the guy in it. I didn't think of anything but that I was walking past the White House.

I was confused when Stipe came on because I didn't recognize him, thought he was a second singer.
