in T-Shirts with local GOP candidate's name on them while searching for abducted child. They used the search to advance their candidate.
Somehow it seems slimy to use the search in such a way when there is a serious crime that may have been committed.
Any moral person would have gone as a private citizen rather than with a political logo on their person.

(8,064 posts)When I was in that church, we were taught to use any tragic situation as an opportunity to "share the. Gospel". Specifically, if you see someone who is stranded on the side of the road with a. Flat tire, you are expected to stop and help them and ask them if they have heard about "the church".
It's very disgusting totaled advantage of a desperate person

(10,602 posts)they all run around with the same T-shirt on with the candidates name in HUGE letters. And they run in packs and stand in front of other candidates space at fairs like the one that we had recently in our suburb last summer. The rep running for office has his car with his name all over it like ads you see on business cars. And he blowhards where ever he goes.
He is a trick candidate in that he is a Cuban American but never votes for Hispanic interests. He was the vote that killed a key Hispanic bill last session. And he publicly and loudly agonized over his vote for two weeks before he killed it. Plus he is dumb as a rock like another church lady who can't put two words together in another district.
They are almost completely invisible on the campaign trail. And they only show up where they have the questions in advance or can pick their own. It is really a sick campaign.
And if you say anything and do not give them equal time they get indignant.
