It pisses me off that our local Veterans Home has to have food drives! Do they do that

everywhere? I always make sure and get them something good. They set up outside grocery stores and give out a list of what they can use. They say they do pretty well at it but they shouldn't have to. Funding must be tight.

Last time I had just come from Costco and stopped off at my neighborhood store for a few more things. That was cool because I gave them something I had just gotten that was a much better deal than I could have scored at the store. I asked if they had an email list but they don't. If they sent me an email I'd make sure and hit Costco. They could even make a specific request for something they aren't likely to get, within reason. I can always spare ten bucks or so.

Unbelievable.

I help out with feeding the homeless in my city, and I always fix things that I would want to eat myself. I've been known to do pot roast. Boy, do they appreciate that.
