Trump has attracted some of the most vile and mindless of our citizens and inaugurated them with his approval. It is indeed a tragic situation when a segment of our citizens can be so easily misled that they can be convinced to actually invade the nations Capitol.

Joe Biden and his administration is facing a monumental task. It seems that in recent years that the Republicans create a hopeless mess and then leave it to the Democrats to clean it up. Just how long can this scenario go on when so many elements of our society have been so corrupted by their ready acceptance of absurd lies.

The the monstrosity that Republican Party has morphed into appears to be actually beyond hope of reform. They have given voice to the easily manipulated citizens who are so corrupted they such hopeless cases they have become the easily subject to guidance by hate mongers spewing vicious lies. The worst fears that many warned could happen due to lack of constitutional restrictions of the power of the presidency has erupted and the worst elements of our society have gain control through their support of a dictatorial leader. Those who invaded the nation's Capitol represent the worst of the worst of our citizens who can be manipulated at will and can be easily convinced of the authenticity of ridiculous conspiracies. It is a situation that must be corrected in which those spewing hated, division and conspiracies' can be discredited and denied unrestricted abuse of the freedom of speech. I would cautiously suggest that perhaps broadcast licenses could revoked under certain conditions abuse.

A disgruntled employee that was working after business hours in the building smeared shit all over the walls of the administrative area hallways after everyone working there had gone home.

The first time there were about 40 employees working in the building at the time and nobody was talking. After the 2nd time we cross checked the employees who were working both nights and narrowed it down to a handful. After questioning those we discovered who did it and canned them.

Looking at the television screens, it doesn't appear as though the crowd has rushed the gates as of that moment, but he said "T-Minus a couple of seconds here". I wonder is there any video footage of them partying during the actual siege? It sounds like they are expecting to see it, I really would be interested to know if there is evidence that they were.

This video needs to be broadcast on national news, all over the Internet, everywhere. It needs to get to the people.

I'm watching CBS This Morning and they interviewed a man from Chicago who participated in the siege. His comment on camera was something to the effect of I didn't participate in any of the violence. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. After he learns that there were cameras everywhere with several being live streamed over the internet and that his crime may send him to prison for up to 10 years, he suddenly realizes that it's wrong to storm the capital building.

America needs to get a handle on the hysteria that has spread through so much of the country. Some type of media policing or regulation needs to be put into place. I don't believe we need to limit free speech, but just like on a pack of cigarettes, a disclaimer needs to be added to any form of media, like Fox News, that participates in spreading lies and conspiracy theories. Before a user can view content, they need to acknowledge that what they are about to view/read is based on opinion and may well not be accurate or true. Maybe in some circumstances they need a stronger warning stating that what you are about to read/view is completely fictitious.

I wish DU members would stop spreading this lie.
