by The Troubadour
Lucas Gray, the famed television animator, has created the best video I've ever seen to make the argument for President Obama's re-election on economic terms alone.
The three-minute video, narrated by a speech Obama delivered at the Associated Press Luncheon in April of 2012, rips apart the concept of "trickle-down" with swift, precise and visually-helpful animation.
This is a video that is superbly animated, constructed and deserves a wide viewing audience.

(5,364 posts)I like the way it added a visual pizazz to the president's already hard hitting speaking style. I bookmarked for further reference to show others.
Can't wait to see my neo-right wing friend's ( and major fan of Lucas Grey's shows ) cognitive dissonance on this.

(6,286 posts)I notice they spelled 'insurance' wrong at one point. I wish these things were proofread better. Other than that, it's masterful.
On edit: 'corporate' is spelled wrong also. What the hell? This needs to be fixed and redistributed.

(6,286 posts)Stuff like that drives me batty. The whole thing is so well done, you just wish someone would take the time to review the spelling. In fact, spelling seems less important with the passing of each day. I wish it were not so. All in all though, the video is so good and the message is paramount.

(114 posts)It seems as if, unbelieveably, a lot of people do not remember the trickle-down theory was tried TWICE before, and failed both times.
Now they talk about tax cuts for the rich like it is a new idea, and people seem to be falling for it.
So THANK YOU for showing the fact that it has been tried twice before!
If this can be drilled into people's stupid heads it could make a world of difference.
I love this poster and DU- You give me hope!
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
