If we get both GA seats, who will be the senior and junior senator from GA?
Would they be swore in at the same time?

1. I could be absolutely wrong, but I think it would be Ossoff
He's competing for the full 6 year term.
Warnock is in a special election. |

4. My guess is it would depend on who gets sworn in first
I wonder if the special election has a different sworn in date than Perdue's normal term.

5. Good point. One candidate could also be held up by challenges/recounts for longer than the other
I suspect Ossoff will be more at risk for that.

8. That's true. Ossoff's race will at least be in the automatic recount territory it looks like n/t

7. Winner, it is who gets sworn in first.
Rev Warnock should be outside the recount so has the inside shot of getting sworn first.

9. Warnock assumes a seat that runs from 2016-2022 so I'm guessing he's senior

11. That's only if they are sworn in at the same day. Then it would be based on their last names.
Ossoff's race is definitely going to be close and we know they will try to sue and challenge the result. I think it's more likely that Rev. will get sworn in before Ossoff.

12. The Rev should be the senior and the young man could be the junior
just my 2 cents.

13. I'm guessing Warnock will be sworn in first so he'll be the Senior Senator

14. Warnock, because he will be sworn in first.
It shouldn't take too long to certify his victory.
Ossoff, if he wins, will take a while longer to officially be declared the winner. |
