1. Georgia should know who voted and how.
Loafer and Purloin should be on the record.

4. Time to pick sides
Let the repubs go home while the dems stay trying to get two grand checks for the American people
Let Georgia see that then vote |

6. Oh, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie!
If you do this, the Republicans will spread this across the country -- those damned Democrat Socialists hate our troops, hate our government, won't do their job. The Republicans will spin it that Bernie and his Socialistic Communistic Fascists are shutting down the government.
Yes, I know. That's not what he is doing. What he is doing is a good thing for the people. But he's opened himself up to be the bad guy of delaying the veto override of the defense bill. |

7. Don't the Republicans already spread BS anyway?
I'm thinking of all that stuff about Joe Biden being a commie socialist who'll ban Christmas and push granny under publicly run buses, blah blah blah. I don't understand why people are so worried about what Republicans will say that they expect good people like Bernie Sanders to modify their behaviour to try to stop them from spinning things. It's not going to matter.
Watching from another country, my criticism of the Democrats and the media is that they're not very skilled at jumping on things and driving them home to the public. The simple message that should be saturating all media is that Democrats care (as much as any major political party can) about you. The Republicans don't care about you and all they care about is getting tax breaks for their billionaire donors. They don't care about your health, your national security, and they definitely don't care about democracy... |

8. Bernie opens himself up all the time
and I do not think he gives a shit what the Republicans say about him as long as what he is doing is his job for the American people. They are going to say that stuff no matter what he is doing, it does not even have to make sense they will be blatting that out constantly.

our apparent inability to s people is defend our views or even ourselves in the face of Repug smears and lies then.
Cuz we all know that taking care of I’d people is only for those evil socialist countries. |

12. Who cares what they do?
They're liars who act in bad faith as a matter of standard operating procedure. We shouldn't govern ourselves by what they do.

It is politically consequential to support the people.

14. We are trying to get a vote on a bill to give every soldier two grand
Trump said he wants to give away two grand to everyone
The house had passed a bill agreeing We just need a vote and they get the higher relief, how do you think soldiers don’t want that check? Let Mitch explain no vote in Georgia |

15. I'm a veteran that supports Sanders
It is Trump that called us "suckers & losers" and Trump is the one that declared himself the winner of an election he didn't win and he also won't concede.
If someone says Bernie hates our troops point to the Sanders-McCain VA bill. I remember Republicans said "support our troops" in response to Iraq war opposition. There were yellow ribbons all over the place in red areas. People were called anti-American & unpatriotic. I feel Sanders is one of the few that supports me rather than using us as a political football. |

18. This will only delay the vote by one day. And if Democrats vote against cloture on Wednesday....
....it will be portrayed as US (Democrats) blocking pay increases to the military, and it will possibly threaten the two Senate elections next week.
Senators will be going home for New Year's Eve. |

19. Mitch doesn't care.
He will just close the Senate and send everyone home for the New Year. Then, he will blame Bernie and the Democrats for no Defense bill. He's cold-hearted.

20. there are a lot of poor people in georgia who desperately need that 2 grand
if mitch wants to show them how little he cares for them who are we to stop him?
georgia votes jan 5 and remember if mitch just goes home.....he is directly defying trump, who asked for the 2 grand we shave 3-4% support off the repubs and we are golden in georgia ![]() |
