As the DU Romney fans have been fond of noting of late.

It is curious the relative dearth of new polling numbers, though. After the GOP convention, there was poll silence for several days, as if people didn't want to release polls showing such an anemic bounce. I wonder if we're not seeing the same thing: the expected bounce does not seem to be materializing, so the pollsters are waiting to release, wondering whether their results will meet narrative.

Seems like the only affect the first debate had was on the Talking Heads trying hard to still make this a horse race.

We'll find out on Monday or Tuesday about the debate bounce. Then, around Friday of next week, today's unemployment numbers will be baked into polls.

In other words, let's give it a week and see where we stand then. I'm actually pretty optimistic.
