4Chan Hoax Tricked Presidential Elector

Remember that "story" about John Roberts shouting at other Supreme Court justices? That one that made no sense because the justices are meeting remotely?

Anyone with a keyboard can do it. Just make up some outrageous conspiracy about election fraud (or whatever the issue of the day is), post it on a fringe right-wing message board or Twitter, and it will quickly filter up to some far-right website like the Gateway Pundit, then to right-wing TV, and soon a right-wing politician will be repeating it as fact without verifying whether it's true. It's a pattern we've seen repeated numerous times in the last month and a half. I suspect the Russians have noticed this.
