Letitia James is on the prowl

A New York state judge just ordered the Trump Organization to turn over all documents regarding a property at the heart of a civil investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James into the company’s financial and tax practices.

I heard rumors that Trump was going to pardon his money guy Allen Weisselberg, but is that smart? Couldn't they force Weisselberg to testify against Trump if he is pardoned?

You are correct, if pardoned, Weisselberg must testify and cannot cite the 5th Amendment. Also, Donnie cannot pardon for State crimes, so the NY AG has free rein against him.

Yes, he can claim the 5th at State level, but it won’t do him any good if there is enough evidence to indict him.

can pardon his CFO all he wants for FEDERAL crimes. Letitia James is not a federal prosecutor, so his CFO would still be under liability to New York as would Dumpy.
