Bravo.
Romney was going to be named the winner if he did anything besides stumble off the podium in a drunken stupor. The Obama campaign focused on being serious, avoiding zinger nonsense, and on being truthful.
Romney said so many insane things, that less than 12 hours after applauding his sophistry and empty hot air, they are all tearing him apart on the facts. He said some extremely crazy things. He completely changed positions on some matters.
And he has no real economic/tax plan.
Obama let the media half-cycle spin and has already filled today's news cycle with brutal punches.
Forward.

(19 posts)Was extremely disappointed in Obama's performance. Chris stated: "In his assessment on the "Today" show, the "Hardball" host also noted that Obama had many opportunities to hit Romney hard but failed to do so" The whole ordeal is just too sad to deal with. I thought Obama would shine.

(954 posts)The last thing Obama should have done was come off as arrogant, cocky, or snotty. While WE wanted to see him knock Romney out, it wasn't the right time.
Chris Matthews understands this, but he's in the business of entertainment, not truth.

I've been reading this from Democratic die-hards all day, but I haven't seen a single case of anyone in the major media adopting this narrative. The only thing they're reporting is that Romney won the debate convincingly. End of.
