Samuel L. Jackson should make a commercial that's "CALM THE FUCK DOWN!"
Obama didn't do terribly. He did point out a lot of lies, he did show a lot of incredulity for Romney's blatant attempts at flippittyflopping, he held his composure, and Romney's gonna be crucified by fact-checkers and team Obama's ads. STOP saying Obama looked cowed--he was taking notes, people! Romney was leaning in, locking eyes, keeping a fake smile plastered on his thin lips, completely flaunted the rules, and showed zero respect for the American president--all of that stuff might play with the Limbaugh junkies, but I think the Middle's gonna be turned off by it.
The BIGGEST detriment to us was, and always has been, the pundits! The MSNBC crew could have spun the debate in a positive way for the President... they had plenty of material to praise Obama for and rip Romney on... but instead they melted down and might have swayed people from their first impression into thinking Obama lost handily. Are WE doing the same thing here today? Are WE wringing our hands and lementing, "OH THE HUMANITY, OBAMA LOST!!!" in front of the water cooler?
Hold the FUCKING line, be POSITIVE, or else we're playing on their court, by their rules, and WE WILL BE THE ONES CAUSING OBAMA DAMAGE.
