I've never been able to figure out why they are so insistent on killing PBS. This explains it all. Thanks for the morning chuckle. After last night, I needed one.

We might have underwriters, but a lot of our support comes from foundations and from... viewers like you. Our local station programs quite a bit based on audience feed-back. We are not beholden to major corporations, nor can we advertise for them (we can say they sponsor us, but it's against our bylaws to make "calls to action," i.e., "buy our shit&quot .

In short, PBS is not ON THE TAKE. People like Wromney want private corporations to run the world; they want the public to have NOTHING. So they try to dismantle the government (which is the representative body of THE PEOPLE) and this crusade against PBS is an extension of the same thing.

Where else are we going to learn about the history of UFOs, Ancient Astronauts, Nostradamus, or Pawn Stars?
