Former Trump Organization VP: Trump may leave the country before the end of his presidency.

Longtime Trump Organization executive Barbara Res appeared on CNN Newsroom With Ana Cabrera on Sunday where she raised questions about how, and where, Trump’s term in office will come to an end. President Trump’s finances, and that of The Trump Organization, are the focus of multiple investigations in the state of New York. Res believes Trump may leave the country before he leaves office to escape the legal jeopardy he could face as a citizen.

“I think catastrophe comes except for Donald. You know, as much as it’s almost impossible to think how he’s gonna weasel his way out of it, I think he will,” Res said. “If there are real legitimate charges leveled against him or hanging over his head the minute he becomes a citizen, I think he may leave the country. I think he may leave the country before the end of his presidency.”

Senate to vote on banning $23 billion UAE arms sales next week

WASHINGTON ― The Senate will vote next week on legislation to halt the Trump administration’s $23 billion sale of F-35 fighter jets, Reaper drones and munitions to the United Arab Emirates, a lawmaker said Thursday.

Four pending joint resolutions of disapproval offer lawmakers a chance to block the Trump administration’s 11th hour proposal to transfer arms to the Emirates. Critics say the sales, meant to bolster the UAE against Iran, ignores risks to Israel and to sensitive military technology posed by UAE’s ties to Russia and China.

Asked about the legislation, Sen. Bob Menendez, who is sponsoring the effort to bar the weapons sale with Sens. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., and Rand Paul, R-Ky., told reporters: “It’s ripe, it’s ready, it has privilege on the floor. We are gathering support for it and I would think sometime next week.”

The deal includes 50 F-35s, 18 MQ–9B Reapers, as well as thousands of munitions and hundreds of missiles. It was approved by the U.S. State Department in November after the UAE agreed to formalize diplomatic relations with Israel.

Because there are four resolutions targeting different parts of the sale, it remains unclear how the votes will be structured and whether each one will attract a different level of support. The resolutions are privileged, which means they can be called up without the approval of Senate leaders.

$23 million and $23 billion are both too much in arms to sell to UAE, arms sales are not an attractive part of our economy. What waste and inhumanity.

All it takes is a MAGA sympathizer on the jury - and there are plenty of them in New York

Regardless, Trump must be indicted for his crimes.

There were some states that allowed supermajority decisions, such as allowing up to 3 dissenters in a guilty verdict, but it was found that that resulted in a lot of very hastily decided cases. There is currently a case headed to the SC that will decide whether people who were convicted by non-unanimous juries should get new trials.

Until recently Oregon and Louisiana were the only states to allow non-unanimous jury convictions. However, in April the Supreme Court decided that under the 6th amendment all criminal jury convictions must be unanimous. (Ramos vs Louisiana)

All authoritarians and in particular he first three fascists above came out of prison stronger than they went in.

I am reading Madeleine Albrights book, Fascism. She points this out . So I would say if he goes to prison it better be a term that will keep him there during the next election.

in Michael Cohen's court documents means Trump is charged in another filing which is sealed. He found this out when Barr took over. Barr can't do anything about it. Only a pardon from Pence can nullify the indictment.

the courts could leave him penniless. That alone would be reason enough for him to flee the country.

Where would he go? Moscow? Saudi Arabia? Actually neither country would have any use for him once he's out of power and he could be considered a "problem" person. Moscow poisons "problem" people. The Saudis behead them.

Given how incredibly ignorant he is, he might want to go to Wyoming. He probably doesn't even know it's part of the U.S. and Dick Cheney has been perfectly safe there for years.

Jared, supposedly on trips to keep Israel safe but why would he care about that when they are soon to be out of office. I never did see why Ivanka was over there, unless it was to beg for money...(same with Jared)...or, look for a residence.

Daddy would want her out of reach by the SDNY. Not so sure about the boys. If Daddy had Ivanka to comfort him, he could go through most anything, but he would never allow her to be imprisoned.
