Not the exact number but close enough.
This is a disaster unfolding right around us.
And they are using nurses who are positive if they can be able to work.

(4,857 posts)if they have some knowledge in how to care for a covid patient. They can earn even more if they are trained in ventilators. Pulmonary care specialist can earn even more. My daughter made $85 an hour because she was willing to work Thanksgiving. Before you scream about the wages stop and think. Many of them are living is places other than their own homes so they don't carry an unwanted guest home with them so they end up spending more than they normally would spend just on day to day living if you call work, grab a couple hours sleep, work, grab a couple hours sleep, work living. I spoke to my daughter on the phone last night for the first time in over a week because she had had a day off. When she finally woke up, she had time to shop for groceries for a couple weeks and called me as she was driving to her efficiency apt. and could put me on speaker phone. She sounds exhausted. And her laugh has lost it's joy.

(25,286 posts)and grows exponentially, we may well see a nearly complete breakdown of our entire medical system.
Let's see, millions of Americans foolishly decided to gather together for Thanksgiving, just a week ago. In a few more days the newly infected will arrive in hospitals by the tens of thousands. Given that there's nearly month between Thanksgiving and Christmas, millions more will decide to gather together for Christmas, and the other holidays this time of year. New Year's is only a week later.
So, look for a huge spike in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths starting in another week. Then an even huger one at the beginning of 2021. Something to look forward to, right?
