Funny: I just canceled a doctor appointment online but doing it was a little confusing.

I know doctors want to stay in business, but it's just a checkup and I feel fine, and I'm worried about sitting in a small waiting room with other patients and increasing, rather than decreasing, my risk of having medical problems. I prefer to play the odds.

So I logged on and clicked the button to cancel my appointment. A window popped up saying "Are you sure you want to cancel the appointment?"

The choices were "Cancel" and "OK". I chose "Cancel" because that's exactly what I wanted to do, but the web page didn't acknowledge that my appointment was canceled. I finally figured out that if I chose "Cancel" it meant "cancel the cancel" and I realized that I had to choose "OK" instead.

there is only one patient at a time in the waiting room. It can be thrown off if someone shows up early or late, but I have noticed that it is working out well.
