he'll have to hold whatever event early and have it be over in the AM before 12 noon Eastern, but I doubt any network but newsmax/oann would cover it. Everyone else will be covering Biden's inaguration. AF1 crew, presidential limo, and secret service detail should be ordered to leave if at 1 second after 12 noon he's not done. Presidential seal and lecturn should also be removed at the same time. Personally, this would be hilarious to see citizen Trump stranded somewhere.

January 20. Two-thirds of the U.S. will be experiencing freezing weather, some with precipitation. Does Trump want to stand outside and rally his troops under those circumstances? And even if he goes South, the crowds he anticipates that will show up for him (e.g., Miami) will not match those for Joe's inauguration.
