My state Mi. has had a bunch of requalifications in last couple weeks. 112 old deaths were included in 187 total today. Not sure about other states, but I'm betting if they are on the up and up like mine we are gonna clean up some of the undercount.

There's a lot of unidentified COVID deaths out there which will never be properly attributed. Demographers and epidemiologists and historians will be studying those numbers for many years...

(9,762 posts)When someone dies there but is not an official resident it doesnt count. Maybe some of those numbers are captured in whatever state the person resides. But I dont think that always happen. Stated without proof, as so many things are now
