Never again allow a RW evangelical tell you they are "prolife."
They are merely pro-white birth. Today's ruling by the SCOTUS on preventing limitation on gatherings at churches proves it.

1. They have a medieval notion of what role churches
play in society as well as their relationship to the state. They think that they should have no oversight by the government, making their own laws and dealing with people under their own authority. Frankly, they're nuts! Just look at how out of control religions already are in this country, raping huge amounts of children and adults and bilking gullible people out of their savings. If they're pro-life, it's only so there will be more people around for them to screw over.

2. Same for any christofascist who uses the word family values...
or tries to proselytize or convert, laugh in their faces and tell them they have no moral authority after the last four years.

3. Pro-something, maybe pro-inflicting or rousing angst
Abortion is the perfect catalyst to rouse emotions which then can be directed towards actions against or for whatever the manipulator wants.
Cons have a whole bag of trigger words and phrases like abortion and Guns Rights. Or, taxes-taxes lowered to the point where roads, schools, and social programs are not only lesser but become useless or dysfunctional. |

4. They ceded any moral high ground they thought they ever had by supporting the cult.
260,000 dead people are not enough for the I can’t wear a mask crowd. I’m sorry but fuck every last one of these people. Idgaf what they think about anything. They’re traitor supporters and fascist loving assholes.

5. Pro death penalty - check
anti universal health care - check
pro cops choking suspects and/or cutting off blood flow - check anti prenatal care for poor women - check anti birth control - check pro large gatherings in churches, bars, and everywhere else - check anti abortion at any stage for any reason - check and a couple dozen more things I haven't thought of They are pro punishing women for having sex. Nothing more. Your OP stands. |

6. I never have. Ever. I just ask them two questions.
Do you eat meat? (They always answer "yes." )
and Do you support the death penalty? (They always answer "yes." ) I then tell them, "then you are not pro life. You are pro-death. You only support denying women the right to an abortion." They inevitably whine in protest. Whine away, I don't care. |

9. Well regarding meat, it's a speciesist version of pro-lifeism at best
I don't think Christianity is very strong on animal rights, or the environment for that matter.
Native American religions are much, much better. They don't get a lot of credit for that. It's a shame. |

7. They are pro-reproductive slavery
https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/reproductive-rights-and-long-hand-slave-breeding/
They only have interest in "life" when it's a fetus attached to the womb of a girl or woman - and they wish to use that as a lever of control over her. Outside that, they don't give a rat's ass about 'life'. |

10. Yes! This!
There are some of us who quietly call ourselves Christians, and feel very strongly that you must be consistent in all your words and actions.

12. We are all lapsed right now...
It's been a while since I have darkened the doorway of God's house, and far longer since I actually served a parish. Let's hope that the times are changing for the better, and we can all find a family where we are welcome.

14. Religion is like a penis.
It's fine to have one and fine to be proud of it, but please don't whip it out and wave it around in public. And don't try to shove it down my children's throats

13. First of all, there would be no "again" about it.
I wouldn't trust one of those Christofascists to tell me the time of day, let alone counsel me on matters of morality and kindness.

15. They are a death cult.
If RW evangelicals were pro-life they would be a leading force urging everyone to wear masks and socially distance. Instead, they are super spreaders.
If RW evangelicals were pro-life they would be a leading force for protecting our natural environment which sustains life itself, and for protecting all of God's creation including the beautiful plant and animal life. Instead, they enthusiastically support destroying natural ecosystems and spewing toxins which cause birth defects and shorten lives. If RW evangelicals were pro-life they would support universal health insurance. Instead, they're just fine with denying health care to poor people and those who lose their insurance when they lose their job in the next recession. As long as they have theirs, others can have death. Jesus spread a message of love and caring for the poor and sick. He spoke of welcoming the stranger, and of the sins of the rich. Those who've joined Trump's death cult embrace the exact opposite. They are hypocrites of the worst kind, claiming the high ground of morality while embracing the most amoral POtuS ever to bring death and shame to America. They see themselves as victims when fewer Americans join the ranks of the religious. They are their own worst enemies, driving others away who want no part of their death cult and rank hypocrisy. They are destroying the good name of Christianity and of America, spreading death and hatred instead of love, kindness, and the nurturing of life. |
