I know everyone wants payback
Can you imagine the info the intelligence services must have on this criminal administration? The spin cycle is ending
The wash is about to come out.

5. Although we will have a fully independent DOJ
And the new AG may have some leeway in whether to charge people or not.
If they have uncovered truly egregious crimes, I can't imagine letting it all slide. |

10. You can't? You remember 2009, right?
Iraq was a literal War Crime, but Obama chose "healing", and it was not without reason.
I will be happy if there's something like a Truth and Reconciliation effort, or the unredacted Mueller Report is released. I don't expect a single Trumpist to be prosecuted - Trump will preemptively pardon everyone who worked in his Admin including himself. |

2. It's not payback. It's justice and accountability for criminal conduct.

8. This.
It's like Ivanka whining about them looking at her taxes. It's not harassment, dummy, it's called justice.

9. Not payback. Accountability.
Look, if a Democratic politician breaks the law and hurts people, I want that politician to have a consequence. If a Republican does it, I want the same, consequences.
Payback is about a personal score to settle. This is about letting ANY corrupt politician know that they will be held to account for hurting the people they are supposed to be serving. The problem with what the intelligence services have on the administration is that power tends to protect power. If there is a way to do things without actually holding people accountable and facing real consequences, the people in power will tend toward that solution. I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting on anyone to go to jail or face real consequences. It would be wonderful if it happened, but not within the norm for our history as a nation. |

11. Not so much payback but there needs to be laws passed to prevent
Trump or someone else from coming that close to a coup in the future. Number one their tax records, a president should not be able to
give someone a clearance after the NSA has denied them. The electoral college needs to go but I don't think it can be done. The congress needs to be able to enforce subpoenas. Dozens of other laws Trump has just ignored need to have consequences. Something has to be done to prevent another AG Barr. |
