Republicans Truly Don't Care That Trump Is Undermining Democracy

Tweet text:

@MEPFuller
I talked to a lot of Republicans about Trump undermining the election results and our democratic system.

They either actually believe Trump was wronged, or they’re willing to play along. Either way, they truly do not care.

Republicans Truly Don't Care That Trump Is Undermining Democracy
For some Republicans, it's a performance. For others, Trump's false claims of election fraud are Gospel.

we really missed the boat on countering hate radio and foxnews.

they *always* should have been marginalized as the lunatic fringe from the get-go.

instead, the msm let foxnews get away with the image of being an actual news source, instead of a propaganda network or politically biased, topical entertainment source. so people watching it didn't realize just how insanely biased it is.

worse, they let foxnews set the agenda for the msm, which for some inexplicable reason decided they needed to cover the same stories, even if they were completely fabricated nonsense pseudo-scandals about democrats dreamt up in republicans fantasies.

and we end up letting a mentally defective, evil, incompetent, virtual (if not actual) russian agent who couldn't come close to being granted a security clearance because he's such a ridiculously obvious national security disaster become president because *hillary* was widely perceived to be a national security risk because her sysadmin forgot to do a couple windows updates.

He and the freak show around him can literally tell the zombies anything and they eat it up. I was on Free Republic and the few less-delusional members are asking for proof of the voter fraud, proof that Trump really did win, tired of being told CT's with no evidence--and they're pretty much told to fuck off. This crowd has stopped believing in America as we knew it some time ago. A decent, competent black man in the White House broke them, and the Orange Fuhrer is all they have left to believe in now--to the point where they refuse to accept any election result that doesn't end with him in office. It's really amazing. I didn't think it would end like this, but here we (almost) are.

They know they can't win elections unless they cheat so Democracy is an anathema to them.
They support Trump on the hope that he pulls out something to overthrow the election.
They will fully support him if he manages a coup because then they can keep the perks of being in power without having to work at it.

Money and power for the richest of the rich, theocratic wet dreams for the religious nuts. The destruction of democracy is a win/win for them.
