I will NOT be watching the debates tonight

These debates take months off of my life. My blood boils, the lies you hear from the right, the avoiding of answering questions and going to bumper sticker politics, etc.

I've watched every Pres and VP debate since 1992.

1992 Clinton-Bush
1996 Clinton-Dole
2000 Bush Gore
2004 Bush Kerry
2008 Obama McCain

My brain can't handle it. Not tonight. Hitting the Casino for a little dinner and some blackjack. I'll miss DU though during the debate and I'll be back afterward for the recap. Have fun everyone.

May have to rely on DU to provide highlights.

My TV may not be able to handle it if I watch the debates.

I'm very prone to yelling at the TV. I don't think I can stand to see the Romneys to be extremely rude and disrespectful to the President and Michelle if she's there. I can totally see Romney not shaking the President's hand and Ann ignoring Michelle.

Yes I forgot abotu the re-runs. I have my DVR set so I can blow through it later. I also have kind of gotten tired of the bloviating talking heads post-debate.

Mittens is an idiot and Obama is brilliant. Mittens is socially awkward and Obama is as cool as a cucumber. Mittens doesn't have any idea about how the real world works and Obama has lived such a broad-spectrum sort of life he can relate to just about everyone is some way or another.

President Obama can leave 'em bloody on the floor and never depart from being cool-headed and in control.

I eagerly await the sharp contrasts between these two men clearly displayed for all to see.

For some reason the pre-debate hype has really annoyed me this time around.
Well, there's been way too much of it for one thing.

And, face it, the likelihood is that this will be an uneventful event ... and then the spin, spin, spin will be over-the-top, probably for Rmoney.

Viewing clips and highlights is sounding better and better.

I think that this calls for a drinking game. Not sure there is any other way I could stand watching it.

My girlfriend and I tried to come up with a good word to use, and when it's mentioned, time for a shot.

I came up with Taxes, and she is going to go with Budget.

Nope.me either......I figure to read about it tomorrow, after it's been analyzed and distilled...That allows me to laugh at,or be POed by WHAT I want,in the order I want.....It'd be different if I didn't have foreknowledge that I'll agree with most of what the President says, while being even more put off by the series of horse shit rmoney will spew.....Wife will be at a baby shower and I can have an extra couple hours of guitar practice......

GO OBAMA!!

Am recording it and will watch later pending reviews from DU.

Very worried here that O will lay back and be just a bit too "cool" and use too many multi-syllabic words for the idiots in the undecided ranks. Also worried that his justified contempt for Robme will be evident. Yes, I am a WORRIER by nature and this night is making me run away into the DVR for some Masterpiece Classics.

I've already determined I'm going to vote for Obama. If Romney "wins" the debate, I'm still going to vote for Obama. If Obama announces his plans to sacrifice thousands of puppies to the "dark lord" to improve the economy, I still won't vote for Romney (although I might not vote for Obama either). I can read all about it or watch it tomorrow if anything interesting actually happens.

I'm in a crappy mood because I had a math test today, and I don't know if I can deal with seeing Romney on my TV screen for a couple of hours straight. I may end up changing the channel before I smash it.
