MSNBC: Chris Coons rumored for Secretary of State position

Wow! I really like Senator Coons, extremely knowledgeable and amazing calmness and grace. But i was also under the impression the role would go to Susan Rice.

Haven't found an article on this but here's CNN's link on new appointees:

2. Maybe she does not want to do all of that traveling. I'm sure she will

have a job in his administration.

4. Would a D replace him in the Senate?

We can't afford to lose any more Senate seats.

9. but any Senate appoinments, even in (D) states, means a special election where anything can happen

unless you're CA.
Remember when we lost Ted Kennedy's seat?
If we had 56 in the Senate then yeah.
But now?
No.

11. Yea, not sure we want to lose any more Senators right now.

I understand Kamala, but beyond that, it is kinda dangerous!

5. In an interview with Tom Cotton this morning

He said no Republican Senator would vote to confirm Rice. So we need to win the two seats in Georgia.
